Description
The razor-egg turtle, scientifically known as the knife-back musk turtle, is distinguished from other musk turtle species by a single, high, prominent spine that runs from front to back, with each vertebral shield armor usually overlapping the vertebral shield behind it. Viewed from front to back, this high, pointed back is triangular in shape, with sloping slopes on either side forming an angle of less than 100 degrees.
